They don't refer to
the Boulder Junction area as "The Musky Capitol of the World®" for nothing. If you are
looking for trophy walleye and musky fishing, Trout Lake is one of the premier trophy fishing lakes
in the State of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources even designates Trout Lake as a trophy fishery.
Trout Lake is a challenge even to the most
sophisticated fisherperson, but the rewards of a
nine-plus pound walleye, or a fifty-plus inch
musky aren't unusual for our lake. Trout lake has
over 3800 surface acres of clear, spring-fed
water and runs nearly 120 feet deep. Numerous
islands provide endless structure for fish
habitat.
Fishing isn't limited to walleye and
musky either. Trout Lake has lake trout,
whitefish, northern pike, small and large mouth
bass, crappie, perch, panfish, and large
populations of shad and cisco baitfish that
provide forage for the "Big Ones".
If
you like fishing, Trout Lake is the place to be.
(Fishing regulations change yearly, be sure to
check current regulations for each fish species.)
